After hearing Ozzy and Metallica, Steve started taking guitar lessons at age 12. After practicing and working on his chops for a few years, he began playing in various bands. During high school you could find Steve playing clubs all over the New England coast. After hearing Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, that motivated him to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It was at Berklee that he discovered bands like Dream Theater, and guitar greats like Vinnie Moore, Frank Gambale, Steve Morse, etc and started to incorporate their styles into his playing.
After attending Berklee college of music in Boston after which Steve got his break in the film scoring business by writing the music for the movie "Amoung Us" which won an award for best theme song. Since then he has written and recorded a long list of music and became one of the most sought after music writers for commercials and movies.
After Berklee Steve was also in many bands that were signed and has seen many record labels. He had an extensive catalog of songs played , as well as live performances, on various radio stations. This is where he developed his cult following. Steve has opened up for and jammed on stage with many bands and players such as: Black Label Society, Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Andy Timmons, Sonata Artica, Dream Theater, Shinedown, Saliva, Drowning Pool, Stained, Firewind, Nile, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Wasp, Misfits, Jani Lane, Doro, Dio, Tuff, Skid Row, Joey Belladonna, L.A. Guns, Into Eternity, Lillian Axe, Steelheart, Black Sabbath, Danger Danger, Buckcherry, Queensryche, Metal Church, Kittie, Extreme, Anthrax, Edguy, Mushroomhead, Powerman 5000, Yngwie Malmsteen, Crossfade, Overkill, Gary Hoey, Kings X, Damage Plan, Disturbed, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Tesla, Pantera, Warlock, Saliva, Shinedown, Steve Morse, Edguy, Lynch Mob, Shadows Fall, Triumph, Manowar, Symphony X, Seven Witches, to name a few. .
You can catch Steve touring doing shows and guitar clinics all over the US and Canada with his instrumental band and recording with all lot of well known rock vocalists including Jeff Scott Soto!!! Be on the look out for Steve's book entitled "Blues Licks and Turnarounds" being released worldwide in 2008!!
