What does this band mean to me? |
| |
I've
been playing in bands since I first started playing guitar.
Most of what I have done in the past has not been the music
I enjoy. My first band, RED EYES, played a mix of covers and
originals, but with a REM, Dead feel. I was a lover of shred
and didn't enjoy myself too much except that I was in a band
and playing out. Plus in high school there aren't a lot of
decent musicians to choose from so you take what you can get.
As
I moved along to College I was in a handful of bands playing
more covers and originals and having a good time, but there
again there wasn't much talent available or places to play.
With every band I have ever been in, there wasn't much in
the way of lead playing, especially during the 90's where
lead guitar was at an all time low.
Lately,
I had been playing with a local rock cover band where I had
a chance to jam out some, but it is still wasn't IRON MAIDEN.
When I was approached to be in RUN TO THE HILLS, the best
ever tribute for the Adrian Smith part, I was psyched. Not
only do I get to shred up some awesome solos, but I get to
hear another guitar harmonized some great melodies. The tribute
is filled with the most talented players I have ever been
associated with and I am looking forward to ripping up the
stage.

| What
Peter Kendall means to this band: |
| |
"
When I decided to put the tribute together, I thoroughly searched
the Northeast for the best guitarists. I ran ads everywhere
and received a ton of applications. To make this tribute act
the best ever, I knew that I needed people with the talent,
the professionalism and the right personality. Pete made an
immediate impression on me when I met him. He had a great
personality. I thought to myself...'If he can play......'
:)
Well,
he sure can. Pete's style reminds me very much of Adrian Smith.
He's very structured and smooth. Since I've been lucky enough
meet and hang out with the real Adrian, I can say that Pete
is a nice guy just like him. I believe Pete to be the most
polished guitar player I've been on stage with. For him to
lack a super ego is a gift from above.
Pete,
I thank you for your patience while I've put this band together.
We both knew that building the right team would make the difference.
Now I can safely say that this is the best IRON MAIDEN Tribute
Band in history. You're an essential part of this band and
I enjoy working with you. Thank you."
