What does this band mean to me?

Joined band in Early April 2003 to play the "Dave Murray" part. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to do an Iron Maiden Tribute act. Being part of KILLERS (Shawn's old Tribute) as a "Tech" had me hooked on the idea.

When Shawn asked me to auditon, I was thrilled and have been ever since. Have been a dedicated 80's type guitarist with little room for being modern, which really works well with this band.

I met Shawn around 6 years ago and have been in different projects and situations with him since then. He approached me in early 03 about this project and obviously, I couldn’t refuse! This is a great band with solid seasoned professionals and it’s an honor to play the great music of “Iron Maiden”.

My main influences; Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Warren Dimartini, Jake E. Lee,
Adrian Smith and Dave Murray to name a few. Hoping to bring back the art of Guitar and musicianship to modern type playing! "something other than drop D! LOL"

Looking forward to rocking the Northeast U.S. with our craft and hopefully someday a whole blown tour of the states and elsewhere. Up the Irons!!

What David Orendorf means to this band:

"I met Dave a few years ago when he came to see KILLERS perform in NH. He has been a guitar tech for both KILLERS and SEVERE. As I got to know Dave, I realized that he was a real shredder and was probably the best rythym player I've ever known. He even filled in on bass for SEVERE for about a month.

When I decided to put RUN TO THE HILLS together, Dave was on my short list for the Dave Murray part. I think his playing and this project were built in a laboratory to fit each other. Dave has an infectious dedication and work ethic. I'm happy to say that he burned it up on stage with me on our last tour and he'll do it again the next few tours. Now we're both dads (Hi Zach!) and it's a blast!  Dave, I thank you for your talent and dedication."
